Individual support for commissioning our actuators
We are happy to provide you with our Quick Start-up Guide for a large number of drive amplifiers. There you will find controller-specific parameters for our actuators and further information for a perfect start.

The perfect start for our cyber® simco® drive servo drive amplifier
The optional electronic nameplate in the motor enables automatic parameterization of the controller. During commissioning of your drive system, you will then be guided intuitively by the MotionGUI2 graphical user interface. A wide range of functions can be used to perform diagnostics, optimizations, and parameterization of the drive. We also offer personalized advice on questions such as commissioning our cyber® simco® drive amplifier and connecting it to your control system.

Your advantages:

- Professional knowledge transfer
- Maximum process reliability
- Shortest installation times

##### Where can I find the user manual for the products?

You can find the user manual on the product webpage for the respective product.

· [ Link to user manuals](https://www.wittenstein-group.com/en-uk/services/downloads)
· [Link to quick start guides for TPM/premo](https://www.wittenstein-group.com/en-uk/services/downloads)

##### How can I gain access to the download area for cyber® simco® drive products?

Access is available to our customers upon request. If needed, please submit a request via our contact form\[KS1\] or through your sales representative.

##### How do I integrate the simco drive into my PLC (e.g., Siemens/Beckhoff/Rockwell…)?

You can find the integration instructions in the MotionGUI2 chm help file, which you can download from the download area.
The following videos are also available to assist with integration
· [Integration into a Siemens PLC with Profinet fieldbus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8kojMY6puo)

· [Integration into a Beckhoff PLC with EtherCAT fieldbus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwSBFli22tM)

· [ Integration into a Rockwell PLC with EtherNet/IP fieldbus ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWXOhJ2IYSg)

##### How do I integrate the simco drive into a CANopen environment?

You can find the integration instructions in the MotionGUI2 CHM help file, which you can download from the download section.

##### Can I also integrate the simco® drive® 2 and the cyber® dynamic system into an OPC UA network?

The simco® drive 2 and the cyber® dynamic system with Profinet or EtherNet/IP fieldbus can be integrated into an OPC UA network. Special firmware for this purpose is available in the download section. Instructions for integration are available in the OPC UA CHM help file in the download section.

##### Where can I download the MotionGUI2 software?

The MotionGUI2 software for parameterization and diagnostics is available in the download section.

##### Is there a guide for initial setup with MotionGUI2?

The “MotionGUI” chapter in the MotionGUI2 software's CHM help file contains instructions for initial setup.

##### How do I install the latest firmware?

The latest firmware for the drive amplifier is always included in the corresponding MotionGUI2 version and can be updated using it. You can download the latest MotionGUI2 version from the download section.

##### Where can I find a description of the controller parameters and functionality?

A description of all controller parameters and the controller's functionality is included in the MotionGUI2 CHM help file. Click Help --> View Help in the software. Or click on a question mark displayed in the user interface.

##### Will my motor be detected automatically? What settings do I need to configure in the controller?

Some motors with digital encoders, such as the cyber® dynamic line or the cyber® iTAS® 2, are automatically detected by the servo controller. Motors with analog encoders or third-party motors must be configured manually using the MotionGUI2 software.

##### Is there an auto-tune function for optimizing the controller parameters?

Starting with firmware version 03.03.00, an auto-tune function is available for optimizing the controller parameters.

##### Can the simco® drive 2 also control motors without an encoder?

In its standard configuration, the simco® drive 2 can control motors without an encoder using the EMK technic. The EMK technic can be used for simple speed control without heavy loads, for example, to accelerate a flywheel.

##### Can the encoder signal or the motor's direction of rotation be inverted?

The encoder signal or the motor's direction of rotation cannot be inverted directly. Movement in the opposite direction is achieved by specifying a negative speed.
