Job description / Your role:

As an Aerospace Engineer at LEOspace, you will take a hands-on role in the development of our space products, focusing on mechanical, thermal, and electromechanical engineering across the full product lifecycle, from concept through qualification and production.

  • Take ownership of our space product developments.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across design, analysis, testing, qualification and manufacturing.
  • Lead system-level tasks including performance management, subsystem integration, and requirements compliance.
  • Prepare technical documentation including design descriptions, specifications, and test definitions.
  • Contribute to simultaneous engineering and collaborate with process engineering teams to enable scalable production.

Qualification Checklist:

Requirements:

  • University degree (or equivalent) in aerospace, mechanical, mechatronics, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in aerospace mechanisms, actuators, or comparable electromechanical systems, ideally in the space industry.
  • Solid understanding of requirements, documentation, and development workflows covering design, analysis, testing, and qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.


Bonus Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of space hardware development workflows, from concept to flight readiness.
  • Experience with numerical tools for structural, thermal or motion analysis.
  • Initial experience in technical leadership or project coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware integration and testing.
