Job description / Your role:

As a Systems Engineer at LEOspace, you will own the architecture of our cybertronic actuator systems and lead their development across all engineering domains — driving design decisions and integrating mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems from concept to orbital deployment.

  • Define and manage system architecture based on mission needs, ensuring requirements traceability across all development phases.
  • Drive key design decisions across mechanical, electrical and software subsystems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through an agile, simultaneous engineering approach.
  • Oversee the full system lifecycle — from concept through qualification to orbital deployment.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support testing from prototype to flight-ready hardware.

Qualification Checklist:

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in systems engineering, aerospace, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years professional experience across multiple engineering domains, preferably in the space sector.
  • Proficiency in handling technical requirements: authoring, reviewing, and interpreting specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in technical leadership or mentoring roles.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).


Bonus Qualifications:

  • Expertise in material selection and manufacturing processes for space environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., ECSS, ISO 15288, NASA GEVS).
  • Experience with MBSE in active development projects and hybrid system development approaches.
